What does a cookie do?

A cookie is a piece of data that a website can store in your browser. It can remember a choice or support a feature. Loading an external service can also transmit technical data without necessarily creating a cookie.

This policy concerns Plomberie LaSalle, operated by 9286-5419 Québec inc. It complements the Privacy Policy, which covers messages, plumbing requests and personal information.

Choices provided by the consent manager

The bilingual consent manager presents three categories. These describe the choices available. They do not mean that every possible tool is installed.

• Essential: website operation and security functions, as well as remembering your privacy choice. The manager presents this category as always active.
• Audience measurement: optional tools intended to understand visits and improve website pages.
• Advertising and campaigns: optional tools intended to measure conversions and, when relevant, personalize campaigns.

The manager’s configuration denies audience measurement and advertising by default. Its interface provides “Reject all,” “Customize” and “Accept all.” In the preferences, “Save my choices” records the selection. These choices apply to tools connected to this manager.

Remembering your preference

The manager’s cookie is named pls_cookie_consent. Its configured duration is 180 days. This period concerns your browsing preference. It does not determine how long we keep an email, a service request or a customer file.

The settings enable the “Cookie settings” button to reopen preferences after a choice. If this button does not appear or respond, consult your browser settings or contact us. A script blocker can prevent the controls from appearing.

External services and the limits of your choices

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

The manager’s GA4 and GTM identifier fields are empty in the configuration reviewed. These fields therefore declare no Google identifier. This does not provide a complete inventory of every possible integration. The configuration includes a control for Site Kit Analytics tags. That mechanism does not establish that Analytics is active.

Google reviews displayed through Trustindex

The review widgets use Trustindex. The configuration loads them independently of optional-category choices. Selecting “Reject all” in the manager therefore does not block these widgets. Loading them connects your browser to an external service. Your browser sends technical request data to that service, including your IP address.

Consult the Trustindex Privacy Policy for its practices. We do not state any cookie duration specific to this provider without verification.

Cloudflare technical measurement

A Cloudflare Web Analytics script appears on the site. Cloudflare describes this statistics service as not relying on cookies or local storage. However, it still involves a connection to Cloudflare and remains separate from the manager’s optional categories. Read the Cloudflare Web Analytics explanation and its Privacy Policy.

Blocking or deleting cookies

Your browser’s privacy settings let you view, block or delete cookies and website data. The options vary by browser and device. As a result, you may lose some features or preferences after deletion.

A change in the manager concerns future use of the tools it controls. It does not automatically delete information that a provider has already received. For a request about your information, use the contact details below.
